One of St Albans’ longest established independent restaurants has been named amongst the top 10 per cent globally.
Lussmanns in Heritage Close, which has been delighting customers with its menu of seasonal, local and sustainably sourced food since opening in 2005, has been awarded the coveted Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award 2026 for the consistently good reviews it receives on the worldwide platform.
One recent customer wrote: “Totally recommended! Excellent service and exceptional food. I’m a veggie and the vegetarian roast was amazing and the best I’ve ever had! Our party were very well looked after, and it was a joy to spend our special 40th anniversary celebrations there.”
Founder and managing director, Andrei Lussmann, said: “We are absolutely delighted that after more than two decades we are still receiving such positive feedback. Running a restaurant is a real challenge right now, and consistency is king.
“We work tirelessly to provide customers with a first class experience every time and to be appreciated and recognised for that is something to take real pride in. A big thank you to all those customers who have taken the time and trouble to write a review.”
