St Albans Cathedral has launched a new Community Pass, offering local residents and regular visitors an affordable way to support the Cathedral while enjoying a range of exclusive benefits.
The new scheme builds on the Cathedral’s visitor donation programme, introduced in December 2025, and has been designed to make it easier for people who visit regularly to contribute to the care and preservation of one of the country’s most significant historic and sacred buildings.
Pass holders can enjoy unlimited access to the Cathedral without repeated donation requests, alongside a selection of discounts and benefits, including membership of the library and discount on selected adult learning courses, hot drinks at the Abbot’s Café, and guided tours.
Melissa Alexander, visitor donations manager at St Albans Cathedral, said: “We are excited to launch the Community Pass and offer local residents and regular visitors a simple way to support the Cathedral while enjoying a range of benefits. Every pass purchased helps us continue caring for this remarkable building, welcoming visitors, and serving the community for generations to come.”
Community Passes are available from the Welcome Centre.
