If you’re considering your next renovation or looking for inspiration for a new home project, make St Albans your destination this September.

From September 14-20, St Albans Homes & Interiors Week brings together an impressive collection of specialist interiors businesses in the city centre, creating a week-long celebration of style, design and craftsmanship.

For anyone planning a project, whether it’s a new kitchen, a complete renovation or simply optimising a current space, it’s an opportunity to meet the specialists who can help bring your ideas to life.

St Albans has a natural advantage when it comes to interiors. Its mix of handsome period properties, Victorian homes and contemporary spaces provides an inspiring backdrop, while its independent business community offers expertise across almost every aspect of the home.

“St Albans has a wonderful mix of architectural character, from beautiful period properties and Victorian homes to more contemporary spaces, so it creates such an exciting canvas for interior design,” says Nina Anastasopoulo, senior designer at Tom Howley.

“There is a strong appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and individuality. Clients are often looking for more than simply following a trend – they want spaces that feel considered, personal and built to last.”

Across the week, visitors can discover everything from bespoke kitchens and furniture to flooring, radiators, smart-home technology and decorative art.

Participating businesses are offering exclusive promotions, alongside in-store experiences, consultations and events designed to spark ideas for your own home.

At Tom Howley, visitors can explore luxury kitchen design and speak to lighting, architects and lighting design specialists about upcoming projects. ADS Smart Home is offering showroom tours and complimentary interior design consultations, while A Fold of Chairs opens its upholstery studio, showcasing the craft of restoring mid-century furniture. For those looking for contemporary art OCA Gallery which specialises in Contemporary Art is holding a ticketed retro-themed event on Friday September 18.

Elsewhere, Moneyhill Interiors will host an evening of interior inspiration on Thursday September 17, while Dwayne Edwards is offering the chance to discuss your kitchen plan that’s truly bespoke.

Jessica Schertle, a local interior designer from @interiorsbybloom, said: “I love walking through the historic city centre, which, alongside its beautiful architecture, offers plenty of design inspiration, from well-known brands to charming independents.”

“I’m delighted to support Homes and Interiors Week, having worked with many businesses on a variety of local projects, from complete renovations to finding creative ways to make the most of existing spaces.”

So, if your next renovation is taking shape on the mood board, come to St Albans during Homes & Interiors Week to make it a reality. Explore the shops, discover exclusive offers, meet the specialists and leave with ideas for creating a home that feels entirely your own.

Some events, consultations, and experiences require advance booking, so visitors should check individual listings before travelling.

Vivien Cannon, manager at St Albans City Centre BID, said: “Whether you’re embarking on a major renovation, redesigning a room or simply looking for inspiration, Homes & Interiors Week offers a fantastic opportunity to meet local experts, discover new ideas and take advantage of exclusive offers. St Albans is home to an exceptional range of interiors businesses, and we are delighted to showcase them through this exciting campaign.”
