Earlier this year, Small Business Britain and BT ran a pilot series of ‘Netwalks’ – a walk and talk networking programme aimed at boosting connections, opportunities and optimism for local entrepreneurs in today’s challenging economic climate.
One of the hundreds who walked in those pilots was local business owner Jen Smith – you may know her as DigitalJen or in her new business as The Curious Mentor
Jen joined the first central London Netwalk in Regent’s Park and, despite the snow, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Having attended more Netwalks in London and in Leighton Buzzard, she was determined to bring the project to St Albans.
The first St Albans Netwalk will be taking place on Thursday September 14 starting from the Herts & Middlesex Trust’s Grebe House Wildlife Garden, take in a gentle walk and finish at George Street Canteen for free coffee and cake.
For those coming from further afield, Jen hopes that she can showcase a mix of our local history and our amazing independent businesses.
Dogs and pushchairs (with children in!) are very welcome at the Netwalk and if you need any information about accessibility, please contact jen@thecuriousmentor.com
To book your place (it’s free but George Street Canteen need to have an idea of how many cakes they need) sign up here: https://smallbusinessbritain.uk/netwalks
