Harpenden Classics on the Common 2026 saw around 1,000 classic cars, motorcycles, and scooters pack out the town’s green space for an afternoon of vintage vehicles and community fundraising.

Organised by Rotary in Harpenden, Wednesday’s free public event supported a host of charities including the Harpenden Child Contact Centre, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, Mercy Ships and Rotary’s own good causes.

Typically attracting around 10,000 admiring spectators, Classics on the Common is Rotary Harpenden’s flagship event, and is recognised as one of Britain’s biggest mid-week classic car shows.

A spokesperson said afterwards: “Thank you so much for everyone who helped make yesterday’s event such a success. It takes many many hours of planning and many more on the day to run it.”
