Community figures celebrate the launch of the St Albans Times

The launch of the St Albans Times.

A gala event took place last night to mark the first issue of the St Albans Times, the district’s new free current affairs magazine.

The celebratory gathering at the prestigious Torrington Hall on Holywell Hill was attended by a host of dignitaries and influencers.

In attendance were St Albans MP Daisy Cooper, SADC leader Cllr Chris White, Herts County Council chairman Cllr Annie Brewster, Facebook admins Sharon Linney and Gary Broadbent, St Albans City FC co-owner Lawrence Levy, Loudbirds Sophie Banks and Angie Cronin, blogger Karen Snook and a host of representatives from the local business network and community organisations.

Editor Matt Adams made a short speech introducing the magazine while guests enjoyed drinks and canapés produced by Times columnist Elena Hogg.
