Social media influencer Karen Snook, founder of the St Albans Mums Facebook Group, has been recognised with a special national award.
The Brilliant Breakfast Champion award recognises contributions delivered through a UK-wide campaign raising money for young women and girls as part of the Change a Girl’s Life initiative.
The St Albans and Harpenden Brilliant Breakfast was organised by Karen in partnership with Harpenden’s Sarah Duguid and Sylvia Lowe and Kaja Jarosz from The King’s Trust.
Supported by headline sponsor Trinder Hair Studios, the event raised thousands of pounds to help young women build brighter futures through The King’s Trust.
Karen said: “What started as a local breakfast bringing women together has become something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
“This award belongs to our entire community. Every person who has bought a ticket, sponsored the event, shared their story, donated a prize or simply supported what we’re trying to achieve, has played a part. I’m incredibly proud that together we’ve been able to make a real difference to the lives of young women across the UK.”
She received the Brilliant Breakfast Champion award at a special celebration held at Fortnum & Mason in London hosted by King’s Trust Ambassador Gaby Roslin.
