The inclement weather didn’t put a damper on a special charity fundraiser at The Quadrant in Marshalswick on Saturday evening.
The event, which was run by Fade to Black and sponsored by Bradford & Howley estate agent, included live music, a cake sale, stalls, food vans, and drinks from F2B and Phoenix Barber Co, all in aid of local young people’s mental health charity Youth Talk.
Organiser Pete Mileham from Fade to Black said: “It was amazing to see the Marshalswick community come together despite the challenging weather. Fade to Black organised the day and invited Phoenix Barbers, Killa Waffles, Lime Face, and La Scatola Pizza to provide the food and drink experience. The event was also kindly sponsored by Bradford and Howley.
“We featured live music from Uptown Funk and Maclaren and Wall. Additionally, we sold raffle tickets, and Fade to Black provided a wine hamper and a World Cup sweepstake. The cake sale was also very successful, with special thanks to Heaven is a Cupcake and Chicks Bakery for donating Youth Talk cakes.
“Everyone was incredibly generous, whether they were buying tickets or simply donating on the day. We managed to raise over £3,000, which is a fantastic achievement. Overall, it was a very positive day for The Quadrant; it not only raised important funds but also increased awareness for the great work Youth Talk does.”
