Weight loss drugs stolen in pharmacy burglary

A man in his 20s from St Albans has been issued a five-year Sexual Risk Order (SRO) to help protect women and girls.

A large quantity of weight loss drugs could have entered the black market following a burglary at a pharmacy in St Albans.

The break-in took place shortly before 6.40pm at premises on Handley Page Way.

Police are now urging the public to only buy pharmaceutical drugs from reputable companies due to the potential health risks of unprescribed items.

Det Sgt Yolanda Morales-Willis said: “These weight loss drugs must be stored correctly and are dangerous if they are not administered in the right way. These, along with other pharmaceutical items, should only be prescribed via a healthcare professional or bought through registered companies.

“I urge anyone who is offered these products at unusually low prices, or by unfamiliar companies or individuals, to contact the police.

“If you also have any information relating to the burglary, please contact police quoting 41/7888/26.”
