Mind in Mid Herts has launched its 12 Days of Kindness campaign, a digital initiative highlighting how small acts of kindness can make a big difference to people
experiencing loneliness.
Loneliness affects people of all ages, and the festive season can intensify these feelings. Mind in Mid Herts’ campaign is designed to show that connection and compassion are powerful tools for mental wellbeing.
Over 12 days, running from December 8-19, Mind in Mid Herts will “unwrap” a series of virtual gifts from hope and resilience to the importance of a listening ear as part of a dedicated social media campaign — a coordinated series of posts shared across digital platforms with one clear aim: to raise awareness, spark conversation, and bring people together around a shared message.
Each day of the campaign will highlight a different theme, offering reflections, practical tips, and simple ways people can support themselves and one another. The intention is to encourage the community to reach out, stay connected, and remember that small acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact on someone’s wellbeing, especially during a time of year when many feel more alone.
Through partnerships with local businesses and organisations, the campaign also prompts practical support, whether that’s sharing messages of encouragement, fundraising, or accessing services that promote connection and mental health across the county.
The initiative is a partnership with Herts Mind Network, both part of the Mind federation, and Specsavers branches in St Albans and Harpenden.
Craig Fields, marketing and communications manager for Mind in Mid Herts said: “Even the
smallest donation helps Mind in Mid Herts continue providing the services people in Hertfordshire rely on. Local partnerships like this make a real difference, they help us reach more people, build connections, and remind anyone feeling lonely that they’re not alone.”
How You Can Get Involved
