In pictures: Southdown steps into Christmas with lights switch-on event

Harpenden photographer Steve Collins was on hand to capture the festive fun as Southdown lit up for Christmas on Friday evening.

The event included a lantern parade, carol singing, fairground rides, crafts, market stalls and Santa’s grotto.
