Our man on the ground, St Albans Times photographer John Andrews, was at Chester Gibbons Green on London Colney High Street for the switch-on of the village’s Christmas lights. Sunday’s free event included performances by NCD Dance School, Excel Dance School and Rock Choir, Santa’s grotto, a mini funfair, food and drink and stalls from the likes of MLP Gems, Cosy Rosie Candles and Nellie Karen Wreaths.
