There are just a few hours to go before the opening night of Iberos, a new counter-style restaurant inspired by the tabernas of Spain and Portugal, right in the heart of St Albans.
Located at 8 George Street, Iberos opens to the public next Tuesday November 25, but a lucky few guests will get a sneak peek tonight and tomorrow once the builders wrap up later this afternoon.
The venture is the brainchild of Sean Hughes of Top 50 Gastropubs and Top 100 Good Food Guide-listed pub Dylans at the Kings Arms, also in George Street, and The Boot Cantina in Market Place.
Joining him at the Iberian-inspired venue are Sam Jones, ex-general manager of Noble Rot, and head chef Tom Cormie, formerly of Public House Group, Noble Rot Lambs Conduit Street and JKS .
