What’s happening with George Street’s former Ology Brasserie?

8 George Street.

A heritage sticker revealing the past of one of George Street’s historic premises has provided a sneak preview of its future.

8 George Street was recently home to Ology Brasserie and Number 8 cocktail bar, but has been empty for months.

Renovation work is now underway on the premises, but no details were forthcoming about its new tenant.

But the more eagle-eyed passer-by could have found out more by reading the details on the St Albans District Heritage sticker.

It reveals it will be a spin-off of its popular neighbour Dylans at the Kings Arms, and will be trading as Ibéros – Iberian counter, a new concept offering favourite foods and drinks from the Spanish peninsula.

We look finding about more from the owners closer to opening day.
