Staff and students at St Albans High School for Girls are celebrating outstanding A level results today.
Principal Amber Waite said: “We are so proud of the STAHS Class of 2025 who have earned outstanding A Level results. We are delighted that their efforts have been so richly rewarded.”
The independent school reports a record 1 in 3 grades awarded A* with 71 per cent of all grades an A* or A.
Fifty per cent of this year’s cohort achieved straight A* and A grades and ten have accepted places at Oxbridge.
She added: “Five students have accepted places to study medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry with 74 out of 80 students going on to study at 28 different universities this autumn. One student is studying dance at a conservatoire, two are taking a gap year and three are currently undecided.
“Congratulations to our students who have worked so hard. Behind the statistics are individual stories of success that all merit celebration.”
She said some of these include: Maya, Abigail, Amy, Charlotte, Heidi, Harriet, Sadie, Chloe and Trisha who all achieved 4 A* grades and Alice, Imogen, Romy, Imogen, Anoushka and Ella who all achieved at least 3 A* grades.
