Harpenden Town Council has launched a new Business Forum offering vital support to the town’s business owners, managers and leaders.
HTC is keen to engage with local organisations from all industries – from small start-ups to larger local companies – to understand challenges, share ideas and promote partnerships within the business community. It is hoped that the Forum will play a supportive role, offering assistance where it is needed and ultimately helping to boost a local economy where independent businesses thrive.
Mayor of Harpenden Cllr Beth Fisher explained: “Harpenden has an enormous wealth of local, independent businesses and the town council is leading efforts to support them. The vitality of our town relies on thriving businesses and we aim to do all we can to assist them in various ways, including helping to navigate challenges, ensuring that Harpenden is a welcoming place for visitors and residents, and understanding their priorities.”
The Forum will be holding its inaugural meeting at September 15 at The Harpenden Collective’s new co-working space in Red Gables, Rothamsted.
Business stakeholders who would like to attend the first meeting should confirm their place via the Town Council website: https://harpenden.gov.uk/business-support. Attendees will help shape the objectives of the group, its priorities and the format of future meetings.
