In the aftermath of their spectacular Battle of the Band semi finals place this summer, local youth band Verutum return to The Horn alongside Davaar and Moments from Glory as part of the Amplify platform scheme for new music run by Juke Box Live.
Verutum, a band of local 16-17 year olds, who already have a strong fan base, wanted to reference St Albans history so took their name from a type of Roman spear.
Lead singer Alex says:“We are a multi-genre band, ranging from shoegaze, rock and metal.”
They will be showcasing their own work including popular “1, 2 , 3, 4 Down!” alongside some specially selected crowd-pleasing covers.
Drummer Lex praises the support the Horn and Jukebox Live give to new music acts: “They have been amazing supporting our journey. We are really grateful to have been given us these opportunities. We are also blessed to have a loyal following and hope to build on it.”
