Zombie singer Colin Blunstone has welcomed the news that the British invasion icons are returning to their St Albans roots for a special screening of their captivating documentary ‘Hung up on a Dream’.
Tickets are selling fast for this special event at The Odyssey cinema on Saturday July 5, which will offer fans a chance to engage directly with this iconic story through a Q&A with the original members.
The documentary explores the band’s formation in the 1960s, reflecting on their musical path from teenage friends to legends in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Follow the story, the music, their ground breaking hits ‘She’s Not There’ and ‘Time of the Season’ and the enduring influence of their genre defying sound.
Through rare footage, intimate interviews and reflections on their solo careers and reunions, the film offers a deeply personal look at the highs and lows of a remarkable musical legacy.
Band members Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Chris White and Hugh Grundy will all be taking part in a unique local Q&A.
Colin said: “The Zombies have always felt a strong connection with the beautiful city of St Albans.
“It was here that we first met and here that we first performed in our formative years. Returning recently for The Zombies’ Begin Here festival has only reinforced those connections.”
Directed by Robert Schwartzman, the documentary is currently also being screened across the US, but on July 5 at 7pm, its coming home… to where the story began!
