Around 200 children and adults took part in an Easter Trail organised by St Paul’s Church in Clarence Park on Good Friday.
Members of the Hatfield Road church acted out the Easter narrative of Christ’s last days before his crucifixion, playing the roles of characters involved in the story. People following the trail received stamps on a special card as they moved between the ‘stations’ around the park.
The event culminated at Clarence Park’s historic bandstand, where Christ’s resurrection was declared. Easter eggs were given to all those who had successfully completed the trail.
Rev Peter Crumpler of St Paul’s said, “It was a great occasion as always, and good to be able to tell the Easter story of resurrection and hope. Everyone taking part seemed to enjoy the afternoon, and engage with the narrative.”
