A staggering 172 people queued for hours to snap up vinyl gold at this year’s Record Store Day.
The first customers turned up outside Empire Records in Heritage Close at 4pm on Friday, 16 hours before it opened at 8am on Saturday.
More than 200 limited edition releases were available for this year’s RSD, including LPs and singles from the likes of Liam Gallagher, Blur, Ramones, Taylor Swift The Hives, John Legend and The Wombles, all sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Empire Records owner Marina De Sclavis said afterwards: “We had the best RSD2025!”
