“The sentence of this court is …”
When you sit enjoying a coffee in what is now the café in the St Albans Museum + Gallery, you can imagine the scenes as local ruffians and scoundrels were handed their punishment by the magistrate.
For one night only the St Albans Tour Guides have collaborated with the Museum + Gallery to turn the café back into its former role as the courtroom and present re-enactments of some notorious cases from the past.
Hear tales of attempted murder, a seriously dodgy gaoler, and some infamous poachers and their attempt to bamboozle the court.
The re-enactments take place on Tuesday March 25 at 7pm. Tickets are £10. To book, visit www.albansmuseums.org.uk/whats-on/courtroom-re-enactments
