Samuel Ryder Academy welcomed two groups of international visitors to the school, hosting over 40 guests from Hong Kong and more than 30 from France across two days.
These visits provided an opportunity to showcase the pioneering work SRA is doing to harness digital technology, enhancing teaching, learning, and the overall experience of both staff and students.
A standout moment of the event was the Digital Leaders Marketplace, where student digital leaders took centre stage. They demonstrated a range of applications and digital tools, sharing how these innovations have transformed their learning.
Assistant headteacher Nazeela Shirazi said: “Their confidence, expertise, and enthusiasm made a lasting impression on our visitors, who were overwhelmingly positive about their experience. The connections made during these visits will undoubtedly serve us all well in the future.
“The visit from our French guests was particularly special, as our A-level French students took the lead in conversations, demonstrating their exceptional linguistic skills. It was incredible to see them engage fluently and confidently, applying their advanced language abilities in a real-world setting. Their ability to bridge communication between our school and our visitors was truly impressive and a testament to the high standard of language learning at Samuel Ryder Academy.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and staff, whose dedication and innovation continue to place Samuel Ryder Academy at the forefront of digital learning.”
