The team behind the UK’s leading tulip festivals is bringing its colourful flora to St Albans.
Tulleys Tulip Fields will be opening on Saturday April 5 on fields adjacent to Willows Activity Farm, in Coursers Road, near London Colney.
More than 500,000 bulbs have been planted ready to blossom with more than 100 different vibrant varieties set to make an appearance this spring.
Tulleys Farm’s Stuart Beare said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our famous tulip experience to St Albans this spring.
“The tulip fields are extremely dynamic as the rows of mixed varieties ensure that the fields look fabulous from start to finish, meaning that every visit offers something new to see.”
Visitors will be treated to a unique, ever-changing landscape as tulips bloom in waves throughout the season. From the earliest varieties to the late bloomers, the fields will shift in colour, shape, and beauty throughout the event.
Stuart added: “We have over 15 different picturesque shots set up across the fields. From the lines of tulips with their vivid colours to the ornamental windmill at the centre, there are plenty of opportunities to snap special memories that will last long after the petals have fallen.
You can also enjoy street food including authentic Dutch poffertjes. The Tulip Coffee House will also be serving hot and cold drinks and there will be live acoustic music for guests to enjoy.
