Updated: Pedestrians injured after Harpenden collision remain in hospital

A man and a woman in their 70s hospitalised with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Harpenden remain in a serious but stable condition.

The incident occurred at around 7.30pm last Thursday on the St Albans Road by the Bull Road roundabout, and has left the man with life-changing injuries.

Emergency services attended the scene after a black Kia Picanto was in collision with the couple, and road closures were put in place.

A 19-year-old woman from Harpenden has been arrested for causing serious injuries by careless driving, and is currently on police bail.
