The first full moon of 2025 – the so-called ‘wolf moon’ – coincided with the inaugural event of St Albans Cathedral’s season of lunar-themed events.

A yoga class hosted by Ali Parker saw participants build up to the half-moon pose under artist Luke Jerram’s huge Moon installation suspended in the Nave.

Yoga fan Hillary Childs said: “It was a really amazing experience being in the Cathedral when it was so peaceful and being able to lie down and take the time to see the detail of the building which might often be missed.

“All you could hear were the hum of the fans inside the Moon, and it was wonderful to be able to practice yoga in such a different setting.”

Tickets for other special events taking place as part of the Museum of the Moon are available on the Cathedral’s website: www.stalbanscathedral.org/moon
