St Peter’s Church in London Colney held their inaugural Carols on the Green on Thursday.
This was a first for St Peter’s with their new vicar, Rev Tom Smith leading the proceedings and the local community singing along and shaking their tambourines.
The rain and wind abated with the chilly air being warmed by the 70 strong crowd drinking mulled wine, hot chocolate, and singing all the favourite advent and Christmas carols.
The event was in aid of the homelessness charity Crisis and over £320 was raised in helping their important work.
After the event the singers retreated to the Green Dragon and The Bull to continue spreading the Christmas spirit with more songs and carols.
This event is definitely in the diary for years to come.
