A wild wallaby has been spotted hopping around in St Albans.
The marsupial was seen by Zoe Benham in Beech Road this morning at around 8am, and she was quickly able to film a brief video as proof.
She said: “It came out of the Harvesters car park, went across the road and then up towards Harpenden.”
Later reports suggested it was badly injured with a broken back leg, and the RSPCA were on the case.

A spokesperson for Herts police said they were aware: “We have had a couple of calls about this this morning. An officer went to check the area but there was no sign of the animal. It was reportedly seen by the Harvester and at the back of the filling station.”
Local residents have been reporting sightings on Facebook.
Red-necked wallabies have been present in the UK for over 100 years, with many either escaping or later released into the wild.
Jamie West also snapped a photo near the Jolly Sailor pub, and posted on Facebook: “Now this is something you don’t see every day. Just driving home from work and spotted this chap outside the Jolly – who are they letting in these days?”
