Simon Pegg visits Abbey Theatre

Simon Pegg at the Abbey Theatre.

Hollywood came to The Company of Ten on Thursday in the shape of A-lister Simon Pegg.

The Mission Impossible and Star Trek star popped in to say hello when he dropped off a family member who was supporting one the Company’s Festival of New Writing shows last night.

The two-week-long, one-act feast of a playwrighting festival still has two days left to go.

Company of Ten received a bumper crop of exciting, brand-new scripts which subsequently underwent rigorous assessment by their hardworking team of readers in order to select the very best to include in the festival.

The aim was to include as many creatives in the project as possible, and with this in mind the Company has welcomed both current and new directors, technicians and actors to bring the scripts to life on the stage.

With a possible three plays each night on offer to audiences for just £5 a ticket, there is a wide range of genre and storylines to enjoy.
