Beetle Boy author MG Leonard is among the award-winning writers set to grace the stage at STAHS Children’s Book Festival this Saturday.
Now in its fourth year, the family-friendly event will take place at STAHS Prep on Codicote Road, Wheathampstead, from 10am-5pm.
Other authors on the bill include Sam Sedgman, Manjeet Mann, Amanda Quartey and Steven Vinacour.
The festival also offers an adventure playground, art and craft activities and a well-stocked food court, including local favourites Peddling Pizza’
Further highlights will include free facepainting, kids’ yoga in the forest, storytelling sessions, and a magic show courtesy of Fizz Kids, plus appearances from Julia Donaldson’s Zog, who will be keen to pose for pictures with young bookworms. In keeping with the time travel theme, there will also be a TARDIS on site!
More than 1,000 visitors attended last year’s event and Saturday’s festival is expected to be even more popular.
