Enjoy 360 degree views from the highest point in St Albans and see if you can spot Canary Wharf and the Wembley Arch at this year’s St Peter’s Fest.
The event, on June 8 from 11am-2pm, is much more than just a church fete, and promises a day of fun and entertainment for all the family.
Carolyn Alexander, speaking on behalf of St Peter’s Church, said: “We are running this event in conjunction with Mind in Mid Herts. We value our partnership with them and there is a good synergy as we are both supporting people’s wellbeing. We are offering tower tours which are a unique opportunity to go up the church bell tower. We only offer these once or twice a year.”
Other attractions include lucky dips for adults and children, a bottle tombola, singing from a local school choir, Mind in Mid Herts information stall, a churchyard trail for children to complete.
As well as supporting mental health charity Mind in Mid Herts, the festival will help fund the next stage of the church’s refurbishment, which includes enhancing the visitor experience using interactive tours, a kitchenette at the back of the church serving refreshments and providing a community space for people to meet or work, glazing in the church doors to make the building more accessible and inviting, and improvements to car parking area
