St Albans City station staff going the extra mile for children

Some of the novelties made for children by staff at St Albans City Station.

Thameslink staff at St Albans City Station are making sure their youngest passengers are having an experience to remember.

They are creating bespoke tickets for children who might not otherwise be eligible for one and teddy tickets for any soft toy who might be accompanying them, as well as putting their origami skills to the test by creating little boats from old tickets.

Area station manager for Thameslink, Sara Turner, said: “Our colleagues at St Albans City wanted to do something special for our youngest passengers by giving them a unique ticket they can hold onto for years to come. We strive to offer a positive customer experience, so we’re really pleased with the reaction and thank our staff for helping to make children’s train journeys all the more exciting!”
