A Food Standards Agency rating can make or break our hospitality businesses, so when Italian trattoria Verdi’s – located in Clarence Park – was publicly slated elsewhere for its one-star performance, we were keen to find out more.
It has since transpired that the inspection took place ahead of work by SADC to repair the roof, which meant preparations for this project were well underway. A full five out of five has now been justifiably awarded on appeal. Perhaps finding out that information before naming and shaming the restaurant would have been a better course of action…
We’re also happy to publicise the return of Verdi’s much-loved giant deckchairs now the weather has taken a turn for the better, and the ever-popular Jazz in the Park is back on the last Sundays of every month from May 26.
